First full day in Rabat!

The day started out with a great buffet breakfast in the hotel and then we had some interesting lectures, lunch, then a great visit with pre-service teachers. I will admit that jet lag was hard! However, the great thing about having a group where everyone is genuinely interested in what all the speakers are saying means that the casual discussions reinforce the learnings of the day.

Notes for future TGCers…if any of you are concerned about accessibility (for me, I was worried about being really out of shape and keeping up with everyone), there are some challenges just like any international destinations with really old buildings and differences in ADA guidelines. For example, many stairs don’t have railings. That’s stresses me out. Thankfully, people in the program (and even outside) are always willing to lend a helpful hand. The generosity of the people of Morocco and inside the group is enormous.
