Flights out of Morocco!

I will miss Morocco - especially the people!!!

Although it was hard to wake up by 3am, it was nice getting the flight out of the way as early as possible.

Heads-up: There were some random issues that I and another person had to deal with at the airport. For some reason, I could not pay for an additional bag. Apparently they were going to send me to another location to pay for the bag and that other location would not accept credit cards. If the person behind the counter hadn't figured out a work-around (which involved someone getting off at my location and had not checked a bag), it would have been a horrible situation. Another person in our cohort had issues with something delicate being packed in a bag and they made her take it out. (Not quite sure what the issue was.) At least she was able to get all her belongings on the flight.

Tips for future TGCers and Accessibility - If you are able to pay for premium economy, I recommend it. I think the extra leg room does make a difference. I had it on the way to Morocco but not the way back. However, for the long flights (WAS to CDG) it was a lot more money but the footrest really made a difference since my legs really hurt on long flights. Those seats on the long flights also are a little wider too. They may also have some different food but I cannot guarantee it. However, it's like a nice step between economy and business. (You can't upgrade from economy or premium economy on Air France to business...at least not with the tickets we had.) And remember, it's easier to get approval for any post-trip extensions before you leave the US.

I did do an extension based on our lay-over in Paris. I'd spent an extended period of time there before so I didn't need to do anything touristy. I used it as a chance to relax after the busy schedule. For me, it was a good use of those personal days. I believe there were 6 out of 18 of us that extended our trip in one way or another and even an extra day or two felt like a luxury that I highly recommend. :)
