I realize it might sound strange, but all the lectures have been so interesting! (Of course, if you like lectures, it probably makes sense to you.) :)
The ones presented today have already

become prevalent in regular conversations with the other Fulbrighters. For example, understanding why the streets are not in the “great American
grid” (term I learned in the lecture) was fascinating and helped to understand why the layout follows the land more and in turn creates a cooling effect. Or, how some companies are trying to help the “unbanked” by connecting cellphones with mobile banking…which makes it easier for people to receive and distribute funds.
Dinner was incredible—a sort of French/Morocco fusion restaurant. It still had spices but also a French flavor that made it really unique.
Notes to future TGCers- Today was one of the few times that there was time to go out (briefly) on our own. Take advantage of those moments even if it to just walk across the street.
Accessibility note-be careful crossing the steeet! The crosswalks were past where you can see the color of the light which makes it hard to know if it’s even supposed to be safe to cross it. I ended up waiting for some people who seemed to know what they were doing and crossed with them. If walking is challenging, I’d suggest making sure you have an expert with you so be on the safe side. There are ramps if you need them though.
